Stan Timmins and Sons Ltd is a family run business headed up by Stan Timmins. Stan has over 50 years experience in the horticultural and arboricultural industry and is a Fellow of the Arboricultural Association. He holds numerous qualifications in horticulture and arboriculture including a Diploma in Horticulture with Honours from the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh and a National Diploma in Arboriculture from the Royal Forestry Society.

We are dedicated to the preservation and management of trees, domestic gardens and commercial grounds. For further information, please see our Services section.

We also thrive on ensuring that we remain compliant with all industry standards and hold all the relevant N.P.T.C’s for undertaking all tree works, planting, hedge cutting, stump grinding, chipping and strimming operations.

Stan Timmins and Sons Ltd are fully insured with a £10m public and employer liability policy. In addition to this, we also hold a £1m professional indemnity policy for Arboricultural Consultancy.

All tree work undertaken is carried out in accordance with BS3998 (2010) and complies with the current best practices for Arboricultural works.

Stan Timmins and Sons Ltd are able to service the whole of the North East from their depot in Gateshead and office in Alnwick. This means we can undertake work across a large geographical area which includes Berwick upon Tweed, Alnwick, Morpeth, Whitley Bay, Hexham, Haltwhistle, Durham, Stockton on Tees, Darlington and Sunderland.
